What would you like to know?
I am a New Yorker (born and raised) with Indian parents. I am the proud mama of two silly kids and am parenting by trial-and-error with my parents and brother. I work as a pharmacist. Me and God go way back, even before both my parents became pastors when I was a teen.
I did live in Houston, TX for a short period of time – just shy of two years – before running back to New York. I am a proud New Yorker, but I will forever be grateful for my time in Houston. It was the hardest, lowest point of my life where everything exploded at the seams. It was also where I finally began to understand the book of Psalms. It was where God met me in such a powerful way and where I finally said “OK” to doing everything God’s way.
Since then, God has been restoring and healing me from hurt and wounds I didn’t even realize I incurred along the way. His joy has been my strength and kept me going when I’ve been on empty. And He has been teaching me things in my language, which is amazing in and of itself – everyone who knows me, knows my mind does this round-about circle before getting to any destination. But then again, He made me so I guess that’s not so surprising.
Since Houston, my relationship with God has become considerably more exciting. The purpose of this blog is to document my “lightbulb moments,” moments of epiphany where I learn something that makes God more real, reachable and awesome than He was before to me.
